Dark theme / darker mode in the file time stamp tool?
You can use the dark theme / darker mode in the file time stamp tool, or deactivate it under Microsoft's Windows 11 and 10!
I was hoping that at some point Microsoft would automatically implement dark mode for pure Win32 / 64 desktop applications. However it is integrated in New-File-Time from version 5.88 and can be deactivated, at the same time I checked and improved the application for the new contrast designs, both on the latest Windows 11 and Windows 10!
1.) Deactivating the darker mode in New-File-Time!
New File Time starts automatically in dark mode if your Windows 11 or 10 is set to dark mode. As a rule, there should be no problems with the display.
If you prefer to switch to standard mode, you can do this quite quickly by simply clicking the little white button in the upper right corner of the window!
In the standard theme and contrast design under Windows 11/10 this button does not appear, also under Windows 8.1, 7, ... the dark mode is not available!
2.) What if I have problems with the dark theme / dark mode?
The tests did not reveal any problems with the display in the dark theme / dark mode under Windows 11/10, but if there is a problem in the dark mode, simply deactivate it as mentioned above using the button at the top right, or with a simple entry in the New-File-Time configuration file!
With the entry "disable_dark_theme" you can turn it off very quickly and also "soft_paint", which deactivates the gradient color drawing in the upper and lower program bar!
3.) Why is it so important to dark mode and contrast designs?
Contrast design is popular with people with poor eyesight, and so is Dark Mode . Many developers prefer the Dark Theme because it is easier on the eyes when working longer, but that's also a matter of habit and you can decide for yourself what is best!
